A downloadable game

THE YEAR IS 102X.

The automata, everlasting beings of self-maintained machinery, are reaching the end of their greatest experiment yet: the creation of Humanity, carefully crafted and molded over thousands of years, and only very recently annointed with the Gift of magic. As the new Wizards' Guild grapples with the sudden rises in both membership and demand for their services, the creators of Humanity quietly retreat inwards into the Earth, seemingly preparing for something new...

When a remote village—neighbored only by a nearby Automatan Monastery—is suddenly and ruthlessly attacked by feral creatures, Wizard Alda is sent to investigate. She will not like what she finds.

CHORUS MACHINE is a top-down, bullet hell soulslite with save files as a finite resource.

Features:

  • Challenging and rewarding bullet-hell overworld combat, inspired by games like Enter the Gungeon and DELTARUNE.
  • Recoverable XP with a rolling counter, like if Earthbound's rolling HP mechanic and Dark Souls had a child that hated you.
  • Reckoning with the consequences of your decisions by choosing the number of saves available to you.
  • Loveable, hilarious side characters that provide upgrades and silly jokes.
  • Original art and soundtrack full of passion and heart.

CHORUS MACHINE is still in development. This Demo release contains one floor of a planned five, and takes approximately one to three hours to complete depending on your level of skill.
